8 North Main Street 1833 Greek Revival style

Deacons and elders from churches in neighboring towns organized the Baptist/ Church in 1806. The present building has been in continuous use since its construction in 1833. The entrance was designed so women could step from a buggy or wagon directly onto the porch landing without tripping over their long skirts on the steps.
